## Three rules I will not break.

Tzedakah (צְדָקָה). In Hebrew, the word for charity is the same word for righteousness and justice. It is not a spontaneous act of goodwill but an obligation, a duty to do what is right regardless of one's own means, and to help others build the means to stand on their own. That is how I understand giving.

### Service before scale.

Local schools, neighborhood institutions, and the people in front of me come first. Marquee causes wait their turn.

### Verifiable or it does not exist.

If a third party does not confirm a gift or an hour of service, it does not live on this site. Memory is not a citation.

### Quiet record, not press.

The work shows up where it is needed. The record speaks where the press does not reach.

## A record, year by year.

Dated, verifiable milestones in community giving. Each entry is documented on this site or a third-party record.
